Cell phone ban while driving in Bethlehem

For our first major news story, Jackie and I covered the cell phone ban in Bethlehem. A city ordinance was passed in May banning cell phone use while driving. Ideally, we would have liked to talk to Bethlehem police officers on camera about the ban, but they refused to be on camera. Instead, we interviewed citizens of Bethlehem and Lehigh's chief of police.

This was different from the other stories we've done in this class because we wanted the video to be fast-paced and interesting. We edited the video to have quick cuts between B-roll and interviews and to keep it to 90 seconds.

It was similar to everything we've done so far in that it had to report the truth and be informative.

This project was somewhat frustrating because the first day we tried to interview, we had little success. After that, it got easier and less stressful.
