First Day of J198

Multimedia Reporting, J198, was easily one of my most highly anticipated classes of the semester. As a self-designed Interdisciplinary Film Studies and Communications major, I'm fortunate enough to pick and choose whichever classes I would like. Lucky for me, Multimedia Reporting fit perfectly into my schedule and seemed to be aligned with what I am trying to accomplish in my interdisciplinary major. How could I pass that up?

I am no expert, but I am certainly no stranger to social media and film making. Last semester, I was on the Videography staff for the Brown and White, using the same cameras and software that we are currently using in J198. Additionally, I worked with Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects in an Introduction to Video Production and Editing class. I'm very excited to continue to work with these resources, and further my video production and blogging skills!

Today's class exceeded my expectations. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I now know that I am in for a very creative, hands-on course that I will look forward to every week. I'm glad I had the chance to brush up on my camera, Windows Movie Maker, and youtube skills since it's been a while. I can't wait to start making real videos!

Here's a sneak peak into the first day and introduction to J198:
